Meet Shilpa Punjabi, Au.D.

Dr. Shilpa Punjabi received her doctorate from A.T. Still University at Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2011. Originally from Mumbai in India, Dr. Punjabi moved to San Diego in 2008 after getting married. Dr. Punjabi graduated from her Master’s program at Ohio University in Athens, OH in 2002 and then moved to New York to work at an ENT practice for almost 3 years before working for a corporate audiology office in Massachusetts.

With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Punjabi specializes in diagnostic hearing evaluations, hearing aid fittings, and patient counseling. She prides herself on caring for her patients the same way she cares for her own family. Her main focus is patient care and she understands the importance of combining accurate diagnostics along with best practice hearing treatment to achieve optimal outcomes for her patients.

Having worked more than a decade in a corporate audiology office, she is excited to be a part of Synapse Audiology and work for and alongside other audiologists. Being part of a local, independent, patient-oriented practice ensures that she can truly focus on every patient’s specific needs, Dr. Punjabi believes that a successful fitting requires collaboration between the patient and the audiologist, comprehensive assessment, establishment of measurable goals, education, and ongoing follow-up. She looks forward to keeping you connected to friends and family through better hearing.
